How to Change your Environment and Ultimately your Life

I was overwhelmed when someone that I had never met from Germany e-mailed me and said that he had watched my videos and found me inspiring and that I had changed his life. This was an absolutely incredible feeling and I am so thankful that my videos are doing what they’re supposed to do. My new friend had also explained how I had inspired him to only spend time with positive people in positive places and he wanted more advice on how to build on this.

This raises an important point: You have to surround yourself with people who are going to give you energy and push you up, rather than drain you and pull you down.

If you sit down and think about it, you will realise that you are becoming (or have become) like the people that you most associate with. You think like them, you talk like them, you do the things that they do and you have the same mindset as them. Of course this is absolutely wonderful if you’re surrounded by confident, excited, motivated, healthy, ambitious, hard working people. The challenges arise when you spend all of your time with people who are negative, lazy with low self-esteem, you are truly in danger of becoming the same way. I have been lucky in the fact that I have friends that have understood my transformation and supported it and interestingly enough, to use money as an example, something has happened where we are all finally earning more money than ever before. Although this was the case for me, I can relate when people say that they don’t know where to look when it comes to finding positive influences.

The best thing that you can do is to find these positive associations through books, blogs or youtube videos. You will notice that you are changing your environment just by doing this. These role models that you find through these channels will become part of your psyche just like friends do. The person in the Youtube Videos in the beginning for me was Tony Robbins. I literally started to take on parts of Tony’s mindset, beliefs and habits. This was pretty amazing as Tony Robbins is probably the peak performance genius of our time. You can do the same. Use positive blogs and videos like this one, use books and audio programmes. Do whatever you can to change the people you surround yourself with, whether you are spending face to face time with them or not.

If you have been surrounded by negative, draining people with no ambition the great news is you can reverse the damage. Since deciding to turn my life around I read hundreds of books, attended seminars, paid for programmes and hired coaches. I can tell you right now, it feels like I am genuinely surrounded by these positive people every day because I continually refresh their message. That’s why I love doing what I do now. All of the videos that I make, the programmes that I teach and the blog posts that I write are the culmination of everything that I have learned from all of these people.

As you do this and you become this mixture of all of the great people that you are hanging around with and learning from you will begin to see amazing things happening in your life. From the people you attract to the positive changes that you experience.

It is this feeding and strengthening of the mind that I have become increasingly passionate about in recent months and I really want to help as many people as possible do the same. You see our mind is like a muscle, the more we work it, strengthen it and feed it, the stronger it becomes. If this is something that you’d like to know more about you could Check out my Monthly Mind Upgrade to see how I will upgrade your mind every single month.

Book Review – You Were Born Rich

Born-RichChoosing a career in personal development is one of the greatest decisions that I have ever made in my life. It has allowed me (and still allows me) to have so much fun learning, growing and consequently teaching from the thoughts of the most amazing authors, speakers and business people. The whole world is full of inspirational mentors and the great Bob Proctor is no exception. Bob Proctor has been involved with personal and professional development for longer than any other human that is alive today. There are a phenomenal amount of happy, successful people that pin their achievements his advice and teachings.

My personal favourite Bob Proctor piece of work is the Book You were Born Rich . It is another one of those self help books that you simply have to read if you are looking to experience rapid personal growth.

One of the greatest things about You were Born Rich is the fact that it doesn’t just speak to the head it speaks to the heart as well. I would imagine that you can relate to this feeling. Isn’t it amazing when someone speaks to the ‘whole you’ and their message resonates with you on a conscious and subconscious level? This book doesn’t just advocate Positive Thinking for the sake of thinking positively it really explains why things like a positive mindset and setting goals are important. You may even find that the messages are conveyed so powerfully that some of your beliefs may be changed immediately.

This book allows the reader top understand how we really are in control of our own destinies and that with a true level of commitment we can achieve what we want to achieve in life. Proctor has the amazing ability to explain to the reader how our thoughts have such a huge impact on the results that we experience in our lives. He talks about laws of the Universe and how we can tune into them to better ourselves.

Twe were born richhe Acorn:

In an enlightening part of the book, Proctor describes the ‘Acorn Analogy’. He outlines how acorns are just like humans (and everything else in our universe) in as much that they are just a mass of energy is a high speed of vibration. Leave an acorn out of the earth and it begins to die. However, the second that you plant the acorn, it starts to attract the energy particles that help the growth of an oak tree. A human being is also a large mass of energy at a particular rate of vibration. This rate of vibration is dependent upon the person’s thoughts and they then proceed to attract the energy that correlates with their most common thoughts. Interesting, right?

This analogy made a lot of sense to me and my and my life because I started to see a potential correlation between the way I had been thinking and the results that I had been getting. An example of this was the way that I had always thought that the best review about we were Born Richway to take care of myself and my loved ones financially was to progress through University as I was doing, ‘get a good job’ that paid well and be done with it. This is very nearly what happened. Luckily for me I made a conscious effort to use the ideas of Bob Proctor (and others) to reprogram my thinking and perceive life in a completely different way.

I now run my dream business, where I can work from home and do what I love most. Which is writing, coaching and speaking on the topic of personal development.

My copy of You were Born Rich is always on show on my book case and I still regularly consult it. It is a fantastic book that will initiate a transformation in your life no matter what or who you want to be.

How I created a Passive Income Online…

Passive IncomeIn the early days of turning my life around I was consistently coming across the idea that I could create what was known as ‘Passive Income’. At the time I didn’t know what this was and with a little research, I discovered that it meant making money whether you were working or not. I could make money in my sleep, whilst on the golf course or whilst walking around the shops. Needless to say, I liked the idea! The first piece of advice that I would give you, would be to begin exploring the different ways to create passive income for yourself immediately. I say this because it could, of course take some time. If it was easy everybody would be doing it, right.

Working IncomeWorking Income vs. Passive Income

Working income is the type of income that requires your time and effort. The best example of working income is a job. With a job you get paid for the amount of hours you spend in work. If you don’t put in the TIME then you will not get paid and ultimately get fired. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a job as one of your income streams. My experiences have taught me, however, that adding passive income streams is where the real fulfilment and financial security lies…

Passive income only requires you to work hard ONCE! For example, when J.K. Rowling was sat writing Harry Potter she was actually earning less money than someone working in a Fast Food Restaurant. However, when the book was finished, a whole world of passive income streams was created for J.K. She will be making money 24 hours per day, 7 days per week doing whatever she wants with her time, for the rest of her life.

The Goal of Financial FreedomFinancial Freedom

Financial Freedom is the situation you can create for yourself where your passive income covers all of your expenses. Over the past couple of years I have met several people who have created this for themselves and I have been obsessed with creating it in my life as well. Not because of greed but because I have found that people that are financially free can leverage their business to help more people across the world, they can spend more time with their loved ones and they can do incredible ‘hands-on’ work for charity. One of my favourite books on the importance of having passive income streams when it comes to creating financial freedom online is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. His style of writing will inspire you and will probably make you think that his concepts should be taught in schools!

It Started with the Internet…

Although there seemed to be so many ways of ways of creating passive income (property, stocks & shares, creating products and more), the method that really stuck out for me was making money online. It stood out because it was very affordable to get started and you could make quick returns. I set about finding some sort of affordable training and I am not ashamed to admit that I spent money on a whole load of nothing to begin with because I didn’t know what I was doing. That is why I feel privileged to be able to talk about this stuff to you so that you don’t have to make all of the same mistakes.

Bring the FreshTo cut a long story short, I can recommend a training program called Bring the Fresh, which contains step by step videos that will guide you through the whole process. It was following the Bring the Fresh training that allowed me to create a whole new feeling in my emotional bank. That feeling you get when you wake up and realise that you have made money whilst you have been asleep. (It’s Incredible)

When it comes to starting out making a passive income online, there’s nothing that I could recommend more highly. Making passive income online has meant that I can spend more time creating books and programs that help people (which is my passion) without having to worry about the money coming in whilst I’m creating them.

The internet may not be the place for you to get started in creating passive income streams as you may have some start up capital to perhaps look elsewhere. However, the internet is such a big marketplace and is growing every day. This makes it the ‘obvious’ choice for your first passive income generating venture.

Good Luck and I wish you Financial Freedom!
